The polar bears are the largest land carnivore in the world. Polar bears spend most of their time on the arctic sea ice. At birth polar bears are 12 to 14 inches long and weigh around 1 pound. Their mating season is late March to late May. The litter size is 1 to 4 cubs though 1 or 2 is more common. The climate change is one of the threats to the polar bears. Polar bears have yellow fur and black skin.
